Build Your Own P-25 Cycle

The collective work of the consortium has become a nationally recognized model revitalization of indigenous languages. For decades, the organizations of the Kuʻikahi have collaborated with other indigenous groups seeking to revive and normalize their languages and cultures. Now, in addition to hosting groups for visits, the frameworks and worksheets used in the creation of the Kuʻikahi are being made available to other indigenous communities.

Frameworks and Worksheets

To support indigenous communities in their efforts to revitalize their own languages and cultures, the Kuʻikahi is providing the same worksheets, frameworks, and diagrams used in the creation of the consortium. These worksheets are a part of the human-centered design and innovation process, and will guide your organization with the following:

01
Value web

This diagram/worksheet will help the individual entities of your movement or coalition identify the nature of the value being transferred from one to another.

02
Business Model Canvas

This strategic tool will help your organizations map out the existing business or social models. By completing it, you will be able to identify activities, partnerships, resources, customer aspects, value proposition, costs, and revenues.

03
Learning Space 2x2 Diagram

This tool will help you to characterize the nature of your learning spaces, and identify opportunities for improvement.

04
User journey map

This design method will help you to understand the highlights, as well as the pain points, of the experience of your “user” (perhaps a student enrolled in a language program, or a community member). By completing this journey map, you can identify areas of improvement.

05
P-25 ILC Development Framework

This framework, designed specifically for the development of indigenous language cycles, will help you understand the programs, content development, challenges, user groups, and funding. It is intended to be completed collectively by the broader movement/coalition.
